The History of Robert Ingram

Robert Ingram first started decorating when he started his apprenticeship at the age of 16 in 1980 with George Wimpey UK Ltd. After 3 years he finished his apprenticeship with a full Advanced City & Guilds certificate. He then continued to work for George Wimpey until 1985 when he decided to expand his career and work for a decorating company in London.

This company mainly covered work for shop fitters on bars, restaurants, hotels, and main high street shops. He gained a lot of experience from this, covering all aspects of painting & decorating and after 2 years became a contract manager for this company, running several contracts over the London area, and managing up to 40 men. He continued to do this until the end of 1989.

After gaining a wealth of experience he decided to start Robert Ingram Decorators and with this experience, he can offer a top quality standard of work and a professional code of conduct on every job he carries out.
